Lisa Childs

I’m Lisa, a Tellington TTouch Companion Animal Practitioner P1 based in the South East of the UK on the Surrey, West Sussex and Kent border. 

My TTouch journey started over 20 years ago, and I have learnt from so many amazing instructors, including Robyn Hood (Linda’s sister), Sarah Fisher and Edie Jane Eaton.  I qualified as a P1 Practitioner for Companion Animals in 2008 with Linda Tellington Jones. TTouch has been massively influential to how I work and forms the foundation for all my work and interactions with animals.

Although I work mainly with dogs, I also help clients with their cats and other animals. Following a love of animals that started in childhood, I have shared my life with quite a selection, including dogs, cats and chickens, and I have been involved with horses for many years.  I work mainly 1-1 with clients and occasionally run workshops. I work in person with clients in my local area and online anywhere in the UK.

I am the owner of Mutts with Manners Dog Training and Behaviour and all my work uses a force-free, respectful approach. I am passionate about helping clients to really understand their individual dog and help them overcome any challenges they may be experiencing, whilst promoting both emotional and physical wellbeing. I support clients and their dogs from early puppyhood, through adolescence and into adulthood. I support rescue dogs from many backgrounds and help clients with any dog looking to resolve complex behaviour issues. 

In addition to being a Tellington TTouch Practitioner, I am also an ABTC Animal Training Instructor and Clinical Animal Behaviourist, a Clinical Animal Behaviourist Assessor, and a Dynamic Dog Practitioner (Licence no. 230601).

Outside of working, I am passionate about nature. I love bird watching, gardening, walking and cycling, together with art and creative hobbies.
