Hi, I’m Angela and I’m the founder of Zen Animals, where I help create calm, confident pets for happier lives. Based in Buckinghamshire, I work with clients both locally in person and internationally by Zoom. Offering a supportive space for building trust and creating behavioural changes for animals and their people.
Animals have always been at the heart of who I am. My journey into TTouch began as a deep personal calling – not just to understand animals better, but to truly connect with them. What started as curiosity has blossomed into a lifelong commitment to learning, sharing, and making a profound difference to the lives of the animals and people I work with.
After discovering TTouch, I trained extensively – and had the privilege of learning weekly from TTouch founder Linda Tellington-Jones. I now work alongside TTouch Instructor Toni Shelbourne, assisting at our monthly Reactive to Responsive classes, Social Walks and Intro to TTouch workshops for dogs. Seeing the changes in the behaviour and the confidence building with both the dogs and their people just warms my heart.
I approach every animal interaction with open-hearted curiosity, and that has led me to work with more than just our usual canine, equine and feline companions. In 2024 and 2025, during my TTouch training, I had the incredible opportunity to work with a variety of exotic animals – lemurs, turtles, reptiles, and farm animals – witnessing amazing behavioural changes. Sharing these stories with the TTouch community became a highlight of my year, especially when TTouch founder Linda Tellington-Jones invited me to speak at the Annual TTouch Cellebration in October 2024.
Another passion that continues to shape my journey is Africa. Inspired by the resilience of wildlife and a Rhino rescue, I’m working alongside Sage Lewis and Kathryn Drage to lead a project that will take a group of like-minded people to Kenya, to support rescue animals and their caregivers on the ground. It’s a dream rooted in love – and driven by the belief that love can ripple outward, crossing both borders and species.
Through Zen Animals, I continue to explore my love of helping animals – building trust, reducing stress, and helping pets live fuller, calmer lives. Whether it’s a reactive dog, an anxious cat, or a recluse tortoise, I believe in letting the animal guide the process. And I’m always learning.
If you’d like to connect, I’d love to hear from you!
